The Seven Sacraments
The seven sacraments of the Catholic Church – Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Confession, Marriage, Holy Orders and the Anointing of the Sick were instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church. The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments.
The first three sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation, are called the “sacraments of initiation” which establish the foundations of Christian life.
